Field Operations
A&W has a staff of dedicated Franchise Area Managers (FAM) all over the world, responsible for providing franchisees with pre-opening, opening, and on-going assistance. Your FAM will work closely with you to provide advice on issues of operations and management, in order to optimize your sales and profits. A&W FAMs generally reside in their territories in order to maximize their availability and effectiveness.

Training
A&W provides a comprehensive training program, consisting of classroom education and on the job training in an A&W Restaurant. Additionally, a complete library of training videos has been created as a tool to take back to your own operations for use in training your management and crew.

Purchasing
A&W franchisees benefit from a national purchasing and distribution network, which provides negotiated pricing on A&W products and distribution services. All authorized suppliers of A&W products have met strict criteria for matching designated product specifications. For the convenience of our international franchisees, we also coordinate the consolidation of goods for overseas shipment.

Development
A&W works hand in hand with our franchise business partners on all aspects of franchisee development. We provide leadership and assistance in selecting sites, managing construction, and obtaining financing, licenses and permits, to ensure the smoothest possible project completion.

Marketing
A&W is committed to providing you with the necessary tools to enable you to compete for customer visits in today’s increasingly competitive marketplace. A combination of national promotions, local promotions, advertising and collateral materials are provided, along with field marketing support from the corporate marketing department.

Restaurant Design
Complete design and construction services are available through the A&W system, including custom concept plans and blueprints created for your architect by our state of the art CAD system. The Restaurant Design team stands ready to assist with projects ranging from new locations, to conversions and remodels.

Equipment
All equipment necessary for your A&W location may be purchased directly from A&W at market competitive pricing. While you are not obligated to purchase equipment from A&W, for our franchisees’ convenience, we offer major equipment, restaurant small wares, and customized building equipment at a significant savings.
