Dear
Prospective Franchisee:
Thank
you for your interest in the franchise development
opportunities which exist within A&W Restaurants, Inc.
As
you are undoubtedly aware, the A&W brand is a
powerful, internationally recognized trademark. I came to
A&W after years in the food service industry and, like
you, I recognize the value of a well-established brand –
a brand that has stood the test of time and prospered. It
is my absolute belief in the power and potential of the
A&W brand that brought me to this great system, and it
has been my pleasure to add further velocity to its
momentum.
A&W
has made quantum leaps in progress from the old root beer
stand you see on the first page. In doing so, however, we
have not lost sight of those time tested elements of the
A&W concept which have successfully built the brand
for over three quarters of a century.
Today,
there are about 700 A&W Restaurants located around the
world. All but a handful of these locations are
franchised, illustrating the tremendous commitment that
A&W has had to franchising as its primary manner of
doing business - a tradition that began in 1925, when
A&W founder Roy Allen sold the very first franchise.
I
have a very simple philosophy, We are in business for one
reason and one reason only – to make people successful.
For as you become successful, so do we. Therefore, the
entire A&W organization is committed to making your
investment in A&W as profitable as it can possibly be;
100% of our energies will be focused in that area. I
invite you to read these materials as a first step towards
investigating the opportunities available as a franchisee
at A&W. Moreover, I would personally be delighted to
answer any questions you may have.
